Indipendent arrival in Sestriere.
Day one starts off in Sestriere on the saddle to reach the Argentera Valley crossing thru a big old mountain refuge. From there we’ll climb to the first peak with a splendid view on the Argentera Valley, to head down a long top class single trail before snacking on some genuine local produce in a hut.
The shuttle will take us back to Sestriere, and we’ll hop back on bikes and ride up a trail that will bring us up to a scenic high point by the ski pistes. Following, a smooth and flowy trail back down the valley bed, where the shuttle awaits our lift back to base.

Day out riding dedicated to the classic Assietta road and it’s enchanting views of two different valleys. From Sestriere we’ll reach our first Col. We saddle up and ride on the old road, thru vast valleys with high peak silhouettes on the sides towards an epic climb to our second Col of the day. The ride down a dense larch tree single trail brings us to the bottom of the valley.
At lunch time made up of only typical goods at the trattoria, we’ll hop back on the van that’ll take us back up to our first starting pointl. This time we’ll drop onto the back side of the same col, entering another Valley. Our destination of Day 2 is a characteristic Lake sculpted into a bowl from the cliffs at valleys end.
Stats: + 700m / - 2100m / 30 km of Shuttle Transfer
Todays name of the game is flow. We start off same as day 2, with the shuttle transfer to Col Basset and hop on our bikes and drift down combinations of smooth trails across Ski Pistes to Sauze D’Oulx, half way way down the main valley. Taking full advantage of “being in Italy”, we have a blitz espresso, before shredding some more flowyness on the Sauze trail down to valley bed, at Oulx.
Off the bikes and back on the bus, this time we switch it up to another famous ski area, Bardonecchia.
After another tasty typical meal, we’ll gently ride off amongst graceful views and charming ruins and climb an easy 300m+. By then, we will have digested and our motors will be back to full pressure for go time, and it’s down to Bardonecchia on a loamy larch and pine tree forest trail.
Stats: + 700m / - 2200m / 50 km of Shuttle Transfer
Mixing some more techyness into yesterdays flow, we hop on the bus for a shuttle day adding up to 4’000m of descent. We’ll have a full menu of flow to technical rocky trails through the woods with windows onto breathtaking views to mend arm-pump and sooth the eyes.
Our lunch will continue reflecting mountain culture in the old village of Moncenisio at 1500m asl, with different types of polenta; recipes grandmothers would approve of.
The views continue blessing us in the afternoon with sights on three valleys; Susa, Clerea and Cenischia. We’ll be passing through the beautiful old villages of Venaus and Novalesa, the highlight being the ancient Fortress of Novalesa, dated 726AD.

On our last day, we’ll start off riding down a trail to the town at valley bed behind Sestriere, then take the shuttle and cross the border into France. We’ll transfer to Monginevrol and hop on the lift to 2455 m altitude.
Great descent above the village of Cervières and down into the ancient city of Briancon (France), where we’ll stop for lunch.
After we’ve eaten, we’ll doze off in the shuttle that’ll take us back up to Monginevro. Rise and hop out the bus, then take the lift up and transfer briefly across on bikes to the start of our single track descent back down to Briancon.
It’s back into the shuttle again, to get a lift back to Monginevro, then ride back into Italy, hop back on the bus for our home run to Sestriere.
