Itinerary

After arriving in Aosta independently, we'll meet, organise our luggage in the shuttle, and jump on board for our first transfer to Cervinia, where we'll check in to our hotel for two nights.

We'll start off our adventure by covering the entire area on the Italian side of the Matterhorn. A proper introduction of what's to come, riding beautiful natural trails all in full view of the iconic Matterhorn mountain. Try to concentrate on the trails though, get acclimatized and get a feel for the terrain!

After our coffee and check out. Into the shuttle for a short transfer to the south of the Valtournenche, where we'll take the gondola up to Chamois, the highest car-less village of Europe. A short pedal transfer awaits, before riding a blissful trail all the way down to the valley floor.

Our shuttle bus will meet us there and take us to the start of another little tour. Starting with some short climbs, we’ll then ride the long way back down the valley on some more beautiful natural singletrack. By now, still buzzing, you’ll ready for the mandatory aperitivo in the ancient Roman city of Aosta.

Now waking up right in the centre of the valley, in the town of Aosta itself, we'll hop on the shuttle for a ½ hour transfer up to 1500 m.s.l, where we’ll continue climbing by bike for a further 1000 meters. Riding a ridge line from your dreams down to a refuge for lunch, we'll taste some of the best food and wine Valle d'Aosta has to offer. From there we'll continue riding down all the way to the centre of Aosta for the evening.

Today takes us to our local and world famous bike park, Pila! It offers some of the most technical DH and Enduro trails if that’s your thing, but our plan will be to ride some super flowy bike park trails and some very special off the grid natural trails that re-join the bike park, all with lift access. We'll ride until lunch time, have some food on a terrace with one of the best mid-valley views, then head northwest, to Courmayeur, at the foot of the Monte Bianco (Mont Blanc). From this base we'll cover this end of the valley, staying near the French border for the rest of the week.

You'll probably rub your eyes in awe, waking up in full view of the iconic Monte Bianco before your morning coffee. What's even better is knowing we'll be up there later on, looking down on the valley floor.

Before that though, we’ll ride on a plateau for a few hours with one of the most disarming views of this god of a mountain, on a smooth dreamy trail. Then after lunch we'll take advantage of the new Skyway Monte Bianco cable car reaching nearly 4000 msl. This unforgettable trip helps you to appreciate the size and shape of the valley, the scale of the mountains, and of course, the immense alpine web stretching out into France and Switzerland. Wrapping your mind around all the tours that could be done, would take a lifetime.

You've probably heard of La Thuile from the Enduro World Series held in 2016 - 2018. It's full of what could be described as super-natural trails, which stretch out into a vast area of wild alpine territory. But built respecting it's natural morphology, simply amplifying what Mother Nature created. Perfectly shaped man made turns that feel as natural as skiing down smooth slopes. Some are mellow & smooth, others are what some riders would describe as gnarly & steep.

A strange feeling, thinking you're so far from civilization, yet you can just ride around the corner back to the village for refreshments.

Our last evening together on this adventure has come, we'll go to dinner and share some of our favourite experiences, celebrating a week of pure alpine mountain biking and so much more.

Waking up from a good night rest, we'll have a big breakfast together before we all say our fair wells and go our separate ways.
